A group of performers - with nowhere to perform. An escapee from Nazi persecution. Staff from the ministry of allotments, (or spies?) A spiv, ladies who's husbands are at war, an aristocrat. An ill matched group of characters thrown together by the horrors of war, each one with an individual personality, each one with a story to tell. Big Brother was never like this. With observational narration by Ed Murrow to drive the action, let us take you on an eventful journey full of laughter, tears and song. Entertaining - Enthralling - Educational. Not to be missed.
